What if one doesn’t get an IRS tax refund within 21 days?

The Internal Revenue Service has put 2 methods in front of the public for filing tax refunds, in which the first is e-File and the second is on-Paper, filing tax returns through e-file and receiving direct deposits within a maximum time interval of 21 days. And the people who file tax refunds on paper take up to 6 months to get their refund, if you have filed your refund on paper then you will have to wait about six months from the date of filing your refund.

If you have filed a tax refund electronically and you have not received your refund even after three to four weeks, then in this situation first you have to check your return status whether it has been accepted by the Internal Revenue Service or not. If it is taking time even after the return has been accepted, it may be that you have claimed CTC while filing a refund, if so, it may take up to 2 months from the date of e-filing to receive your refund, if you have don’t claimed it then you need to contact the customers support to know the reason behind not receiving the tax return.
